You actually depress me! Are you out of your mind or just so out of touch with reality that you can't , don't , or won't see it???? You honestly think Todd Bentley has been called by God? THE God??? Father of Jesus, God??? To stand and say, blah, blah, blah instead of God's word is unconscionable!! To take the precious Word of God and reduce it to BLAH!!! You and people like you scare me that you would take the Holy Word of God and let it be so perverted to what you want it to be or think it is!!! I am so sorry for you. May God heal and help your very misguided heart. As for Todd Bentley, maybe he has so removed himself from God's TRUE Word, (as in what it really is, not what you would like it to be or think it is) that the Lord has delivered him to his flesh.....he does seem more enamored with that anyway...

WOW!!! The Million Dollar Todd Bentley Hoax!!! WOW!!!
Todd says God told him to get 1,000 people to give $1,000 dollars. When people confronted Todd, Todd admitted that God did not say that. WOW!!!
Proof positive that Todd Bentley is spiritually abusing everyone.
Todd Bentley is EXPOSED as a LIAR and a THIEF!!!

I hope I don’t sound like I’m laughing at this situation, as God hates divorce (Malachi 2:14-15). But, like IST, I find this situation highly ironic, in that Bentley claims that God is working through him to work “signs and wonders,” yet God can’t manage to put the Bentleys’ marriage back together.

It is very sad that things like this happened. But the problem here is TODD his problem, not that of other people, so do not blame anyone will ya!

He alone is responsible for his behavior and his character. And when its character is not good, it will be exposed sooner or later as we have seen. Besides that, news already came out that the marriage problems occured 3 years already, so this is not what happened because of the Lakeland issues and critics.

Then another interesting note, why can people like us not critic the leaders and the leaders can judge us as people becasue its because of us criticals that he fals? God is bigger than any critical assignment towards Todd. He alone is himself responsible. Of course, high trees catch a lot of wind, but when he teaches a false gospel, he himself has to take the responsibility, not the people around.

We are not responsible for his marriage, his behavior and so on. How did Jesus reacted on situations? Let him look at that, instead of critic back on us critics. Besides, the bible tells us to be critical and lay down the bible next to every thing that happenes and be aware of false prophets and false teachers. So, when critic comes, you have to embrace it and be honest, instead of bullying and say it is all a lie, and later on the critics saw it right. It is not then a curse, but THOSE are the real prophets.

By the way, when prophets were false, they were stoned... We don't do that as we can't judge in this way, but we sure will speak out loud! Even JESUS did not talk, he runned into the Temple and just slammed the tables down! That's how we should act in such stuations instead of cover it up under the mantle of "love".

Be very careful when presuming to be the one to have the final call on biblical interpretation. To say that Todd has taught a false gospel is quite presumptuous. You'll find other believers who disagree with you. It's fine to share your feelings, and to let it be known that you hold to a certain opinion, but to point blank make the call that someone teaches a false gospel? It's arrogant.

I have yet to hear Todd violate one of the absolutes of Scripture. To believe in angelic encounters would not violate an absolute of scripture, for example.

It's possible to operate in love and humility at the same time we boldly stand for truth. I find it's rare to find someone who will cry real tears and intercede with passion for people like Todd, though they find it easy to point the finger of correction.

Sure, Todd is responsible for what happened in his marriage, but so are those, at least to a degree, who refused to pray, to love and undergird. People like that will also be held accountable. Don't forget the curse the comes from exposing a brother's sin inappropriately. Read the story of Noah.

Just be very careful when making absolute statements without leaving room for other diligent believers to share their position. Again, you can't say God teaches a false gospel, but you can say, "In your opinion, Todd preaches a false gospel."
  • Me · 1 year ago
I understand your concern, because you think you cannot touch the anointed of God, well here's another one who also is anointed like any other Christian, so by then do not touch me either or you may fall, that sounds ridiculous right? And regarding Noah, this is another situation and has nothing to do with this situation, do not pick a oneliner out of its context please, read the whole chapter before pointing out just one line and use it when it fits you.

The problem is that the so called "leaders" who critic the critics can be absolute while we can't. I believe there are so many people who can cry just fake, look at the movies mate, they all cry and fake, but it looks real. I even have experienced someone crying for me while after all it was so manipulative!

Nobody else is responsible for his marriage, you cannot blame it to anyone else then himself. He is the gatekeeper of his life, not other people.

When Todd is telling people to not mention Jesus anymore but more into angels, I have my questions. Than, when people in the bible saw an angel, IF it appears, the angel said, don't be afraid. But you believe nowadays you can encounter, walk and talk with angels? It is very misleading as this is the new age world, talking with angels. The bible says that even the angels said, thank God, not me. The angels points towards God, the Holy Spirit points towards God, Jesus points towards God. So if we replace God for angels, it is very misleading at all, that's my opinion.

Than the feeling Christianity nowadays scares me. The bible is not taken seriously anymore, the bible will not open very often, it's all about feeling, while the Word of God says, meditate and eat the Word.

When I hear and see Todd laughing while he says he kicked a man in his belly to kick the Holy Spirit into that person, I really get pissed off. How can he do that! Never in the bible you see Jesus kicks the Holy Spirit into someone by violence! And nowhere you registrate any people shaking or manifesting in the ministry of Jesus, do you think Jesus was lying on the floor barking like a dog in the so called "spirit"? I don't think so, so why do people do this? Being like Jesus is not being an idiote crawling down on the floor like a duck, chicken, dog or donkey.

When you think Todd is preaching a good Gospel, show me the scriptures where it clarifies he is teaching about. And do not pick words and texts out of its context but show it.

So Jesus is responsible for the people who are doing weird stuff in the Temple, when He comes in and kicks the house down? He showed the stupidity of those, and openly exposed his anger and so do we when people get hurt by someone who think he is called by God.

I believe so many so called leaders today are so narcistic and arrogant that they think they are mr. and miss know it all. And it stinks that so many people walk after such people who at the end fall. The bible tells us: Look at their end! So we do!!

I'd encourage you to revisit your position. Such positions are really doing damage to the advance of the purposes of God on the Earth.

There is an attitude that's arrogant and unfeeling and even angry that I sense in your post, and I've sensed in other similar posts by others who oppose people like Todd.

The story of Noah is very clear. I wonder if you have read it. To oppose the idea that we are to honor and cover and protect others in love is a strange thing coming from a Christian. Is this really what you are saying?

I don't sense your love of Todd... I'm not saying it's not there, but I doubt Todd would be edified if he read your post.

I'm alarmed at a statement you made that is incredibly slanderous:

"When Todd is telling people to not mention Jesus anymore but more into angels, I have my questions."

You do realize that Todd never said this, right?

    You also said:

"Never in the bible you see Jesus kicks the Holy Spirit into someone by violence!"

Show me one place that the Bible forbids such behavior. You have to remember Smith Wigglesworth who did the same thing. If you heard Todd's explanation of this, the whole thing, it would make perfect sense.

    You also said:

"And nowhere you registrate any people shaking or manifesting in the ministry of Jesus"

Again, find a place in the Bible that forbids it. You do realize that much will happen that wasn't specifically written about in the Bible, right? And, there were many, many such incidents in Scripture. Dreams, visions, falling over as dead, trances, being translated, going to the third heaven, etc. are recorded in Scripture.

I'd love to hear you reveal how much you love Todd. How you are praying for him and feel the pain of what he's going through. Those are the emotions Jesus is having for Todd right now.

    John,

I appreciate the attitude with which you have responded. Unfortunately I find that unbelief cannot be conquered with logic.
  • Me · 1 year ago
Yeah right, damage on earth, the real damage is still done by people who enter the stage whom are not sincere, who are not clean and attract people to themselves or false teachings and false doctrines instead to God. So why should I revisit my position, do you think that your position is better than mine? Is that what you say? I choose to shake holy houses instead of say amen to something I would not encourage.

You are very sure in your outlining that I have an arrogant and unfeeling sense. So you speak the truth? You say to me to revisit my position? Then, revisit your own statement towards me. Which is as arrogant and unfeeling as well by then.

I do not oppose Todd himself as i do not know him personally, just his doctrine and his statements he makes, the things he is doing, THAT is what I oppose.

The story of Noah is also missused so many times in this kind of situation to shut people up and manipulate or even intimidate. This is not the same situation, so do not use this as an argument. This is a story in the bible and you cannot littery take it over to this situation.

And yes, we should cover everything up under the mantle of love, well I don't.. The truth WILL come and will set free, not cover things up under the mantle of love.

You do not sense love, okay, explain to me what is real love John, if you know how it all should be done. Tell me.. And, how can you speak for Todd? Maybe Todd will learn somethng out of it? If he reads the post? Who knows, you can't speak for him, so don't!

Well, that is what the youtube films have been displaying. And he claims to have raised people from the dead, but the claims were never researched, abd some people did and NO names were given. While if someone really stod up, it would have been worldnews on al tv stations in the world. Further on, every cremetery, graveyard and any orgabisation in and around Lakeland is called, but nobody knows about people raising from the dead, even the head of organisations in the area didn't knew it, isn't that weird that someone is claiming something but when it is checked, the persons names will not be displayed and also nobody of official organisations have noticed anything? Even a name came out, but the person was just burried and not woken up out of the dead?

How can you be so sure that Todd never said that about the angels? He said litery that Jesus told him that people heard enough about Jesus and he must teach about angels and what so ever. Sory, but very unbiblical.

If you want to discuss, you should also answer my questions, and not turn my question into your questions around, without answering them, that is not correct discussing things, that is returning the question without answering. I asked you the question, and if you do not want to show me, or want to tell me, you just say you don't want to, and not ask me the question back twisted.

And, you come with an answer of Smith Wigglesworth, but i asked you, where in the bible, not in the history. So, I don't have to remember about Smith. And if it is biblical it only makes sense, not what Smith is doing or saying.

Also my question regarding the shaking part is not answered. You just did not take any notice and tried to convince your own opinion, even not looking into the bible seeking where to find it and answer my question.

Further on, more and more in the bible I see warnings against false teachings, fals prophets, so come and build your prove on the bible instead of what happens outside of the bible. If the Bible is the truth, why should we create an extra truth with is not in the bible? You know adding things to the bible is unbiblical?!

Why should you hear me reveal that i love Todd? I don't even know him, so why should I love him? I love people i know, but I cannot love people I do not know. And, you talk about love, but what do you know about love mate.. Tell me, what is the love you talk about.
  • John Burton · 1 year ago
I'm not sure if its your intent, but you come across as negative and angry. That's really not necessary, and it doesn't help in your ability to discuss your concerns.

You said that you oppose Todd's doctrine. That's ok. We can all hold to certain opinions and theological interpretations. However, do you realize that other Christians may have a variety of differing opinions and interpretations? It's important to respect those people. So far, I haven't heard Todd hold to any theological ideas that are a violation of biblical absolutes.

For example, you simply cannot find anywhere in the Bible any text that forbids shaking, trembling, etc. Angelic encounters are normal, as are visitations, dreams, visions, etc.

Greetings in the name of Jesus everyone.
What a sad time this is when a man of God is being abused by the ones that he so desired to bring healing and deliverance too.
In the beginning of the outpouring I was very confused at what was going on in Lakeland, but after talking to people who visited my confusion was relieved. This is a move of God.

I hope that the ones who are casting death can see that God moves in ways that you nor I will understand all of the time. Gosh, I also pray that God heals the anger and hate that seems to be eminating through your words.
I guess I wonder what people thought when the Lord spoke to the son of Amoz?
He said, to the son of Amoz "
"Go, and loose the sackcloth from your waist and take off your sandals from your feet," and he did so, walking naked and barefoot.
He walked naked and barefoot for 3 years.
    What must people have said?
What would people say today ?
I tell you what they would say.... This man and his followers are out of touch with reality and have no clue what so ever who God is and who Jesus is.
Well, as you know the son of Amoz was Isaiah. Yea, he was crazy..... he spoke what the Lord told him to speak and he walked as the Lord told him to walk. Clothed or naked.. did not matter to him. Now I am not comparing Isaiah to Todd. I am comparing Gods methods. Who are we to assume that we could or even should know what and how God will show up.
I pray that God will RESTORE....RESTORE.......RESTORE..... Todd and his wife that they may live a full life saturated in the Love of Jesus.
I speak LIFE to this situation. And I pray that the people that are starting to judge and hate will find the love and forgivness of Christ.

Found this great response regarding angels from Rick Joyner.

What is the significance of all the talk of angels?

    Answer:
It should be a bit of a concern that so many seem to have a problem with this. The Bible talks far more about angels than anyone. The interaction of angels with people is found throughout the Scriptures. They are ministering spirits who minister to those who are the heirs of salvation, and they are messengers who are constantly bringing messages from God to His people. Seeing angels and receiving messages from them is actually far more normal for God’s people in Scripture than not seeing them and not receiving messages from them. The reason some may be having a problem with this is because they may not have seen them or received messages from them, but biblically, this lack of experience should be more of a concern than having them.

This is significant because the activity of angels seems to be increasing, which does seem to be a precursor to a major or important move of God, of which I think we certainly are in the first stages.

I remember hearing a story told by Graham Cooke where he was prophetically leading a meeting and God showed him the pastor of the church then God showed him a man in the congregation who was stabbing that pastor in the back.
Graham was stunned and didn't know what to do - then he relaid how God told him to call the two men to the front infront of all the whole church. He did. Then the Lord told Graham to stand them back to back. He did. Then the Lord told Graham to tell the man who had been speaking out against the pastor that he was giving him a sword and that God was comissioning him to guard the pastors back, (to protect and interceed for him).
If only we were like the Lord, uplifting, encouraging and so loving.
Before we speak (or write) wouldn't it be good to ask the Lord what he would say or do. I know even when he rebukes it is coated with love and he always gives us hope - if only I could be like that too. x

Why does the revival tarry? It is because God's
people tarry to obey the powerful command of
the Lord in Rev. 18:4. This is the most powerful

As in the days of Lot, it is now. Lot was not interested
to leave Sodom. God sent two angels to rescue him.
One of the angels said to him: "Flee for your life sake ..."
Just like as Lot, God's people are not interested to leave

All I have to say is that Jesus came to save all sinners - including Todd Bentley. He never was perfect, just like none of us are. Only God is perfect and good. God is the only one who can be idolized and celebrated. All others need God's mercy. I'm sad what happened, but the revival never ended for real. God still wants His Body revived from its slumber.
